The Gia Lai Provincial Government, through the Market Management Department, continues to demonstrate a serious commitment to fostering a transparent and high-integrity trade environment. During the first semester of 2026, local authorities intensified the dissemination of the 2023 Law on Consumer Rights Protection under the theme 'Information Security, Building Trust, and Sustainable Consumption'.

As a preventive measure, authorities have successfully secured written commitments from hundreds of business operators, including 106 retail units and 631 petrol and oil businesses. They are required to display prices clearly and are prohibited from hoarding goods. These efforts extend to the tourism sector, where over 2,000 service businesses have pledged to comply with applicable regulations, particularly ahead of the National Tourism Year and the Ethnic Cultural Festival in Gia Lai.

Law enforcement goes hand in hand with field supervision. From December 2025 to June 2026, 423 violations were recorded out of 710 inspections. A total of 421 cases were resolved administratively, with total fines and confiscated goods values reaching billions of dong. Two cases indicating criminal offenses were referred to authorities for further investigation.

Local business owners have responded positively to this initiative. Accommodation and culinary business owners are increasingly aware that compliance with regulations—such as price transparency and food safety quality—is not merely a legal obligation, but a crucial asset in building a professional and sustainable tourism image in the public eye.

Responding to these achievements, Deputy Head of the Market Management Department, Dinh Van Ha, emphasized that a healthy market ecosystem can only be achieved through synergy among public awareness, business compliance, and strict law enforcement. Moving forward, supervision will continue to be enhanced, especially in rapidly growing strategic sectors such as e-commerce, cosmetics, and functional food products.
