BPJS Kesehatan has officially launched the Layanan Ujung Negeri (LANURI) program as a strategic effort to equalize access to the National Health Insurance (JKN) across all corners of the country. This initiative, which is part of the board of directors' 100-day work program target, focuses on cutting through the geographical barriers long faced by residents in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions.
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, explained that LANURI is being implemented simultaneously in 558 regencies/cities across Indonesia. The program integrates two main approaches: digital-based services via the Information and Administrative Services Virtual Office (VIOLA) and proactive outreach through BPJS Keliling mobile services.
VIOLA serves as a solution for regions with limited face-to-face access. Through video conferencing channels, the public can interact directly with officers for administrative procedures as well as submitting complaints. As of May 2026, more than 218,000 service utilizations have been recorded, primarily by Health Insurance Contribution Assistance Recipients (PBI JK) residing near primary health facilities.
Recognizing the uneven distribution of digital infrastructure, BPJS Kesehatan continues to rely on BPJS Keliling mobile outreach services to reach areas facing network constraints. Cross-sector synergies are also continuously being strengthened, including collaboration with the Ministry of Cooperatives utilizing village cooperative networks, as well as support from the Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) Health Center in mobilizing personnel and health facilities in remote islands.
In addition to expanding access through LANURI, BPJS Kesehatan reported that its 100-day work program achievement has reached 91.53 percent. Moving forward, the agency's primary focus remains on improving service quality oriented toward participant needs, as well as strengthening early detection systems to prevent JKN cost inefficiencies, while ensuring equal healthcare access for all levels of society without exception.
