The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police achieved a brilliant accomplishment on the international stage. Coinciding with the 80th anniversary of Bhayangkara Day, this regional police institution was awarded two accolades simultaneously by the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI) for its breakthrough in mental health services using the Ultimate The Source Body, Mind, Soul Emotional Freedom Technique (USEFT) method.
The prestigious award was handed over directly by the Operational Director of MURI, Yusuf Ngadri, to the Chief of NTT Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Dr. Rudi Darmoko, S.I.K., M.Si., at the NTT Regional Police Headquarters on Saturday (4/7/2026). This record was awarded after in-depth verification showed that the NTT Regional Police successfully conducted therapy in series across 22 work units with a total of 11,663 participants, consisting of National Police personnel and the general public.
The USEFT method itself was chosen as the primary instrument in psychological strengthening efforts. Yusuf Ngadri emphasized that this achievement is not only a source of national pride, but also recognition of the police force's dedication to providing humanistic services that go beyond conventional duties in security and order.
Responding to the appreciation, the Chief of NTT Regional Police, Inspector General of Police Dr. Rudi Darmoko, stated that this award was not the primary target. He emphasized that this initiative was born from a deep awareness of the importance of mental health for officers on duty in the field, so they can serve the community with high empathy and professionalism.
"This program is a manifestation of our efforts to make a real impact on others. The hope is that National Police members are not only proficient in maintaining security, but also become listeners and supporters of the mental health of the community in their environment," said the Police Chief.
This achievement is a milestone in the history of policing in Indonesia. The NTT Regional Police have now become pioneers in integrating mental health support into the police service system, reinforcing the institution's commitment to providing holistic protection for all levels of society.
