The East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Regional Police (Polda) has recently achieved a proud milestone by receiving an award from the Indonesian World Records Museum (MURI). This award was presented for Polda NTT's success as the first regional police institution in Indonesia to implement a large-scale mental health therapy program for personnel and civilians using the Ultimate the Source Body, Mind, Soul Emotional Freedom Technique (USEFT).
The award presentation was officially carried out by MURI Operational Director Yusuf Ngadri to NTT Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko at the NTT Police Headquarters on Saturday (July 4, 2026). In addition to being named a pioneer, Polda NTT also set a record as the agency with the highest number of participants in applying the USEFT-based therapy.
NTT Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Darmoko emphasized that this achievement was not the main focus of the program. His party places greater emphasis on the humanitarian aspect, namely helping police officers and the broader community restore their mental health so they can rise and regain a better hope for life.
This program was initiated during Insp. Gen. Rudi's leadership with the primary mission of strengthening the psychological condition of police personnel. "A police member is a public servant. The quality of public service heavily depends on the mental stability of the officers. Therefore, we fixed internal matters first before expanding the scope of this therapy service to the general public," he explained.
As of June 2026, a total of 11,663 people have participated in these therapy sessions. The reach is highly inclusive, ranging from police officers, the general public, to inmates in correctional institutions. This method has proven effective in addressing various complex psychological issues, from deep trauma and depression to preventive measures against suicidal ideation and domestic conflicts among personnel.
