The National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) reported that as of the sixth day of the 12th Provincial Sports Week (Porprov), 23 sports have completed all of their competitions. However, there are still 28 other sports out of a total of 51 scheduled to compete in this province-level multi-sport event.
The Chairman of KONI NTB, Mori Hanafi, detailed several sports that have finished, including judo, boxing, fencing, pencak silat, chess, wrestling, kurash, sepak takraw, as well as gateball and fin swimming. On the other hand, KONI NTB also noted that there are currently 12 sports still in the process of resolving match result disputes raised by the contingent teams.
Regarding the medal standings which have not been officially announced, Mori emphasized that his party prioritizes data accuracy over the speed of publication. The final medal tally will only be released to the public after all administrative issues and protests from sports branch administrators have been fully handled by the validity team.
Responding to protests from a number of district and city officials, Mori stated that KONI NTB provides a legal arbitration space. The condition is that every objection must be accompanied by strong physical evidence so that it can be processed quickly and fairly by the disciplinary committee.
Mori also urged all athletes, officials, and supporters to maintain sportsmanship and trust the conflict resolution to the applicable mechanisms. He emphasized that technical disputes on the field must first be resolved at the level of their respective sports branch administrators, rather than being directly escalated to KONI.
