Hundreds of Banyumas Regency residents packed the NU Medika Cilongok Clinic on Saturday, July 4, 2026, to receive free health check-up services under the Mobile Specialist Doctor (Speling) program initiated by the Central Java Provincial Government. Public enthusiasm was visible since early morning as residents queued orderly to access medical care from professionals.
This program features a collaboration between specialist doctors and local healthcare workers, including the medical team from Prof. Margono Soekarjo Regional General Hospital (RSUD). One of the residents, Naimatul, expressed that she felt greatly helped by this service. She intentionally utilized the chest X-ray facility to check her health condition without having to spend a large amount of money.
The Vice Governor of Central Java, Taj Yasin Maimoen, also personally attended to inspect the implementation of the activity. During his visit, he monitored various services available, ranging from the general clinic, dental clinic, to supporting examinations such as blood sugar and cholesterol level tests. Taj Yasin emphasized that this initiative is a government commitment to bridge the gap in healthcare access so that people at the village level can enjoy specialist services without having to travel long distances.
In addition to reviewing the medical treatments, the Vice Governor also expressed appreciation for the development of facilities at the NU Medika Cilongok Clinic. He hopes the clinic will continue to maintain and improve its service standards so that the medical needs of the community in the Banyumas region can be met to the fullest.
As of June 24, 2026, the Central Java Provincial Health Office recorded that the Speling program had reached 1,310 villages with a total of 1,320 activities implemented. It is recorded that 109,304 residents have benefited from this program, which is the realization of synergy between regional hospitals, healthcare workers, and health service facilities across the Central Java region.
