PT Pelabuhan Tanjung Priok (PTP) Nonpetikemas has reaffirmed its commitment to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) principles into its core business strategy. This step is taken as a tangible effort by the company to build a port ecosystem that is not only efficient, but also sustainable for the national economy.

Senior Manager of Corporate Secretary at PTP Nonpetikemas, Fiona Sari Utami, speaking at the Indonesia DEI & ESG Awards (IDEAS) 2026 conference in Jakarta, emphasized that ports today have evolved into crucial supply chain hubs. Therefore, ESG is positioned as an instrument for ecosystem care, while DEI serves as an essential pillar for the organization to respond to complex stakeholder diversity.

As a concrete manifestation of the green port initiative, PTP Nonpetikemas has implemented various environmentally friendly technologies, ranging from converting lighting to LEDs, electrifying loading and unloading equipment such as Grab Loading Cranes, to systematic waste management. In addition, the company is actively involved in environmental conservation through planting 11,000 mangrove seedlings and strengthening corporate governance through an anti-corruption system integrated with the Pelindo Group.

Internally, DEI principles are applied to create an inclusive and innovative work culture. PTP Nonpetikemas provides equal opportunities for all employees, including increasing female participation in leadership ranks and applying non-discriminatory recruitment policies. This is believed to drive employee engagement as agents of change who bring positive values to the company.

Fiona added that strategic communication plays a vital role in aligning the implementation of ESG and DEI. Through collaboration with various parties—from academia and government to the broader community—the company strives to build public trust while ensuring that the positive impacts of port activities can be felt equally across all levels of society.
