The National Domino Sports Federation (Orado) of South Kalimantan Province has officially attained membership status in the National Sports Committee of Indonesia (KONI) of South Kalimantan. The inauguration took place during the KONI Provincial Conference held in Banjarmasin on Saturday (4/7/2026), marking a new chapter for the existence of domino sports at the regional level.
The Chairman of the South Kalimantan Orado Provincial Board, Muhammad Rizwan Arifin, revealed that the main priority following this approval is the acceleration of organizational consolidation at the regency and city levels. Currently, the board formation process has reached the majority of regions in Banua, leaving only three regencies still in the stage of finalizing their organizational structure.
Rizwan added that the high enthusiasm of the public for the sport of dominoes serves as the main asset in developing this sports discipline. He expressed optimism that adequate facilities and match equipment will support the smooth execution of the organization's future agenda, including plans to hold staged tournaments ranging from the local level to a broader scale.
Furthermore, South Kalimantan Orado targets the domino sports discipline to be officially contested in the upcoming Provincial Sports Week (Porprov) in Hulu Sungai Utara Regency. Lobbying efforts and technical preparations will continue to ensure dominoes secures a spot as a competing sport in the prestigious sporting event.
