PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) has officially taken a strategic step in its internal restructuring through a business merger. It has been decided to merge PT Kaltim Daya Mandiri (KDM) into its parent company, PT Pupuk Indonesia Utilitas (PIU). This corporate move aims to streamline operational workflows and strengthen synergies across all business lines of the Pupuk Indonesia Group.

Based on the official announcement released, this merger process includes the transfer of all KDM assets, liabilities, rights, and obligations to PIU by law. Upon the effectiveness of the merger, KDM's legal entity status will automatically dissolve. PIU, as the surviving entity, will take over the responsibilities and continue the operations previously run by KDM.

The management of both parties emphasized that this action was taken to improve operational efficiency and optimize power generation infrastructure. This merger aligns with the company's efforts to strengthen PIU's position as an integrated utility entity serving industrial needs, particularly in the PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur area and the Bontang industrial zone.

This business integration process has been prepared in accordance with the mandate of Law Number 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, as amended by the Job Creation Law. For information, KDM has so far played an important role in providing electricity, steam, and demineralized water that support production activities in vital industrial environments owned by the Pupuk Indonesia Group.
