The Alumni Association (ILUNI) of Sempel Namta successfully held a social event titled “Gebyar Khitan” (Circumcision Fiesta) at the SMP Negeri 6 Mosque in Tangerang City on Sunday, July 5, 2026. The event, which coincided with the Islamic New Year momentum, was attended by 51 children from the alumni's extended families as well as the general public, particularly orphans and the underprivileged.
Medically, this circumcision action aims to improve children's health standards, such as maintaining the cleanliness of vital areas and minimizing future infection risks. From a religious perspective, this activity also serves as a medium for Islamic propagation by fulfilling one of human fitrah (nature) ordained since the time of Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH).
General Chairman of ILUNI Sempel Namta, AS. Indra Irawan, revealed that the success of this event was inseparable from the solid support of donors who managed to raise IDR 54.5 million in just two weeks. He emphasized that this initiative is a concrete manifestation of the organization's work program in the fields of health and community service.
Echoing this sentiment, the Chief Organizing Committee, Diksi Hera Berliana, added that this was a significant first step for alumni in initiating large-scale social activities. Appreciation was also expressed by the Chairman of the Advisory Board of ILUNI Sempel Namta, H. Tito Sutanto, who praised the solidarity of the alumni in overseeing the event through to completion.
Through this mass circumcision event, ILUNI Sempel Namta hopes to continue providing sustainable benefits to the broader community. The success of this event is expected to spark a greater spirit of social concern among alumni in the future.
