The Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) of Kapuas Hulu Regency, West Kalimantan, conducted enforcement operations on several nightlife venues in the South Putussibau and Kalis districts. This step was taken to enforce Kapuas Hulu Regency Regional Regulation (Perda) No. 2 of 2025 on Public Order and Tranquility.

During the field operation, officers conducted thorough inspections of business permit documents and monitored management compliance regarding established operating hours. In addition to recording data, officers provided direct education and guidance on-site to ensure business activities do not deviate from applicable legal norms.

Head of Enforcement and Operations at Kapuas Hulu Satpol PP, Yeddy Surahman, explained that a humane approach remains the priority in this enforcement effort. However, his team will not hesitate to take firm action if repeated violations are found, including sanctions such as suspension of activities up to the permanent closure of the business establishment.

For effective supervision, Satpol PP is collaborating closely with local district governments. This synergy is expected to maintain regional order and ensure that nightlife business operators continue to respect the religious and cultural norms of the surrounding community.
