The Batang Regency Government expressed high appreciation for the decade-long journey of the North Batang Entertainment Community (KOEMBARA). During its 10th anniversary celebration at the Klidang Wetan Village Field, the community was deemed successful in maintaining its existence through professional management, close family values, and tangible contributions to the creative economy ecosystem in the region.
The Acting Head of the Batang Communication and Information Agency (Diskominfo), Puji Setiyowati, representing the Regent of Batang M. Faiz Kurniawan, emphasized that KOEMBARA has transformed into a strategic partner for the government. Besides serving as a platform for artists, this community has also become an effective instrument for disseminating development messages through healthy and innovative works of art.
More than just a celebration, this decade-long anniversary was also filled with an agenda of providing aid to orphans. Puji assessed this step as a form of high empathy and expression of gratitude from art activists, proving that the entertainment industry is not only profit-oriented but also has a deep social sensitivity towards the surrounding community.
Entering its tenth year, the challenges faced by the creative industry are expected to become increasingly complex along with rapid digitization. Therefore, the Batang Regency Government encourages KOEMBARA to continue to innovate, strengthen its internal foundation, and adapt to technological developments without leaving behind local artistic values that represent regional identity.
At the end of her remarks, Puji hoped that KOEMBARA would be able to project its role as the spearhead of Batang tourism promotion. By maintaining solidarity and continuing to present positive energy, this community is expected to grow into an inclusive platform and a valuable asset in advancing the image of Batang Regency in the future.
