The Branch Executive Board (DPC) of the National Awakening Party (PKB) of Tegal City has officially affirmed its commitment to align with the aspirations of the Branch Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PCNU) of Tegal City. This step was taken in response to an official letter from PCNU calling for the rejection of operational plans for nightlife venues and highlighting the urgency of discussing the Draft Regional Regulation (Raperda) regarding the supervision and control of alcoholic beverages.
Chairman of Tegal City DPC PKB, Fathul Imam, stated that his party strictly adheres to the principle of 'samina wa athona' or an attitude of obedience to organizational instructions. Given PKB's historical roots born from the womb of Nahdlatul Ulama, he assured that his faction will continue to safeguard policies aligned with the values of the community's welfare and public morality, especially in the Margadana Subdistrict area.
Regarding the discussion of the Draft Regional Regulation on the Supervision and Control of Alcoholic Beverages currently underway in the regional parliament (DPRD), Fathul provided a critical view. He suggested that the regulation be returned to the Tegal City Government as the initiator if discussions at the Special Committee (Pansus) IV level reach a dead end, especially following the resignation of the previous committee leadership.
Previously, PCNU Tegal City had submitted an official letter to all leaders of political parties in the region. The document, signed by the leadership ranks of Syuriyah and Tanfidziyah, represents a concrete response to community dynamics and the concerns of Nahdliyin residents regarding the proliferation of plans to build entertainment venues deemed to potentially disrupt local social norms.
