The Recreational Sports Bachelor's Study Program of the Faculty of Sports Sciences and Health, Jakarta State University (FIKK UNJ) held a community service activity in Cilegon City. The activity, which took place on Saturday (25/7/2026), was in collaboration with the Department of Education and Culture and the National Sports Teachers Association (IGORNAS) of Cilegon City to strengthen the synergy between academics and local government.

In this service, the team consisting of lecturers and students presented various applied materials. Among them were game modification training, socialization of traditional sports, to intensive education on the importance of preserving the local coastal and marine ecosystems.

The leader of the community service team, Prof. Abdul Sukur, explained that this program was designed to provide a real impact that is both fun and educational. Through a recreational physical activity approach, the public is encouraged to be more active while fostering concern for the surrounding environment in a sustainable manner.

The active involvement of students in this activity also serves as an important platform to practice course knowledge directly in the community. In addition, the training participants, consisting of sports teachers and local communities, were equipped with the skills to design creative game programs adaptive to the characteristics of coastal areas.

This concrete step also reaffirms UNJ's commitment to supporting the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The program targets four important points of the SDGs, namely good health and well-being (SDG 3), quality education (SDG 4), sustainable cities and communities (SDG 11), and life below water (SDG 14).
