The Sarolangun Regency Government in Jambi has taken a firm stance on maintaining public order by issuing a policy restricting nighttime entertainment party activities. This decision was officially taken by the Regent of Sarolangun to suppress potential security disruptions and break the chain of illegal alcohol and narcotics distribution in the region.
This tightening policy is motivated by public concern and reports from law enforcement officials regarding the prevalence of risky activities at nighttime public gatherings. Parties or entertainment activities that run late into the night are often considered venues for illicit substance abuse, illegal alcohol consumption, and triggers for potential social conflict.
Through this latest instruction, all community entertainment events—including musical performances and single-keyboard shows—are required to cease all activities in accordance with the established deadline. The Public Order Agency (Satpol PP) alongside the local police have been instructed to conduct strict surveillance and enforce sanctions on violators.
The Regional Government hopes this preventive measure receives full support from village officials, religious leaders, and the broader community. The operational hour limit is expected to create a safer, more conducive environment in Sarolangun Regency, free from the harmful impacts of drugs and alcohol.
