The Faculty of Agriculture at Lambung Mangkurat University (Faperta ULM) has officially deployed 346 students to carry out the 2026 Community Service (KKN) and Internship program. These hundreds of students are distributed across 53 villages in the Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) Regency to promote village development through the application of appropriate technological innovations.
The send-off ceremony for the community service students was solemnly held at the Juhrie Antap Sport Hall, Banjarbaru, on Monday (27/7/2026) afternoon. This program is designed not only to fulfill the academic curriculum, but also as a form of practical implementation of knowledge focusing on real assistance and the development of the creative industry sector at the village level.
As the culmination of this service program, all student groups are scheduled to showcase their work in an appropriate technology expo and a village creative industry product exhibition. The exhibition, which serves as concrete proof of successful field mentoring, is planned to be held from September 3 to 4, 2026.
The Vice Dean II of Faperta ULM, Dr. Ir. Noor Aidawati, emphasized the importance of thorough preparation so that students can provide concrete solutions that directly benefit the local agricultural and handicraft sectors. She reminded that the success of this program highly depends on social sensitivity and the students' ability to adapt to a new environment.
In the procession, the symbolic send-off was marked by pinning identification badges on student representatives, namely Vincensiun Reno for the multidisciplinary KKN-Internship, Desi Fransiska for the monodisciplinary category, and Diky Zuliansyah for the Small and Medium Industry (IKM) Internship. Through the integration of this program, Faperta ULM is committed to producing graduates of high character who can become driving forces for regional development.
