The name of influencer and former model Lisa Mariana (LM) is back in the public spotlight following a series of legal cases engulfing her. In addition to being involved in a long-standing feud with the former Governor of West Java, Ridwan Kamil, Lisa has now been reported to the police for alleged fraud and embezzlement in a branded pyjama business.

The case came to light after an entrepreneur named Dewi Wulan Sari revealed the modus operandi allegedly carried out by Lisa through the social media account "LM Branded Store". Lisa reportedly offered sleepwear at a discounted price of around IDR 350,000, well below market price. However, the items ordered and paid for by customers were never shipped.

To date, it is estimated that more than 20 people have fallen victim, with total collective losses reaching hundreds of millions of rupiah. Individual losses vary, with some reaching up to IDR 150 million. After subpoena attempts yielded no results and the mediation process through Restorative Justice reached a dead end, the case has now entered the investigation stage at the East Jakarta Police Department.

Lisa Mariana faces charges under Article 378 and/or Article 372 of the Criminal Code (KUHP) on fraud and embezzlement, with a penalty of up to four years in prison. The reporting party is also considering the use of the ITE Law given that transactions were conducted electronically, as well as referring to the Consumer Protection Law which grants consumers the right to compensation for non-conforming goods.

On the other hand, Lisa still faces a legal dispute with Ridwan Kamil regarding a paternity recognition lawsuit. Ridwan Kamil's party has responded with a countersuit worth IDR 105 billion and a report to the National Police's Criminal Investigation Department (Bareskrim) for alleged defamation. In addition, a new report has also emerged at the West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) regarding Lisa's alleged involvement in an indecent video.

Responding to these various accusations, Lisa Mariana has consistently denied any fraudulent practices in her business. In her statement, she claimed the accusations were slanderous and has appointed a team of legal counsels to take counter-legal action against those who reported her.
