The Regional Secretary of Ternate City, Rizal Marsaoly, has officially taken over the leadership baton as the General Chairman of the North Maluku Indonesian Amateur Mixed Martial Arts Association (IBCA MMA) Provincial Board for the 2025–2029 term. Rizal was elected by acclamation during the board formation meeting held at the Ternate City Bappelitbangda Office.

This strategic agenda was officially opened by the Deputy Governor of North Maluku, who is also the General Chairman of the North Maluku KONI, Sarbin Sehe. The election process was also witnessed virtually by the Secretary General of the IBCA MMA Central Board, Maraden Lumbantoruan, along with regional mandate holders.

After receiving the new mandate, Rizal expressed his gratitude for the trust and responsibility bestowed upon him. Given that Mixed Martial Arts is still relatively new in the North Maluku region, the main focus of his administration will be to strengthen the internal foundation of the organization and design a structured athlete development system.

Rizal emphasized his commitment to immediately formulate short-term and medium-term work programs. The first step will be to assemble a solid board composition to foster talented local athletes capable of competing and contributing gold medals at the National Sports Week (PON).

The vision of this administration aligns with the expectations of the North Maluku Provincial Government. Deputy Governor Sarbin Sehe hopes that this mixed martial arts discipline will grow rapidly and become a new source of sports achievements for the region.

Upon receiving the official Decree from the IBCA MMA Central Board in the near future, the new management under Rizal Marsaoly's leadership will move swiftly to expand the organization's reach and begin athlete development across all regencies and cities in North Maluku.
