The Tangerang City Government continues to intensify health promotion and preventive efforts for its residents. Through the Health Office (Dinkes), local authorities are expanding the reach of the Free Health Check (CKG) service by adopting a proactive outreach strategy known as the SABARIUNG program, an acronym for Shared Facilities for Health Examination, Deliberation, and Home Visits.
Head of the Tangerang City Health Office, Dr. Dini Anggraeni, explained that this program is designed as an active collaboration between community health centers (puskesmas) and the public. This synergy is realized through a series of activities reaching the smallest administrative levels, starting from neighborhood/community units (RT/RW), integrated service posts (posyandu), sub-district offices, communities, to direct home visits.
"Through Sabariung, the healthcare service paradigm shifts from passive waiting to proactive engagement. Healthcare workers are now present directly in residents' neighborhoods, making access to health screenings more inclusive and easily reachable," said Dr. Dini on Friday (3/7/26).
In addition to providing physical health checkups, the medical team assigned to this program also educates the public on healthy lifestyles. They perform follow-up visits for residents with special conditions and ensure the distribution of medication for patients suffering from chronic illnesses to maintain continuity of care.
Not only targeting residential areas, the Tangerang City Health Office is also expanding the reach of CKG services to the education sector, offices, and various community activity centers. This strategic step is expected to accelerate health screening coverage while raising public awareness about the crucial importance of early detection in reducing the risk of dangerous diseases.
The Health Office urges the public to proactively utilize the CKG facilities available at all puskesmas as well as through the outreach activities. According to Dr. Dini, early detection is the main key to ensuring medical treatment can be carried out quickly and appropriately before a patient's health condition deteriorates.
