The Tuban Regency Government remains committed to improving the quality of public services, one of which is by providing more adequate health facilities. Since early February, the Merakurak Puskesmas has officially moved all of its service operations to a new building located on Jalan Surotani, Kebondalem Hamlet, Mandirejo Village, Merakurak District.
The new building, standing on a 2,929-square-meter plot of land, replaces the old facility on Jalan Pemuda. This relocation not only provides a fresh physical look for the building but also brings a positive impact on the comfort of residents coming to receive medical services.
The Head of Merakurak Puskesmas, Dr. Reinidha Puspita Sari, revealed that the new building is now equipped with eleven additional rooms that were not present in the old building. These new facilities include preschool and adolescent examination rooms, a lactation room, a public health laboratory (Labkesmas), disability-friendly toilets, and a children's playground.
With a more spacious waiting room and good air circulation, Dr. Reinidha is optimistic that patient services can run more optimally. She also expressed appreciation to the Regent of Tuban, Aditya Halindra Faridzky, and the local government for their full support in realizing the construction of this more representative health center building.
The presence of this new facility received a warm welcome from the local community. Several residents who came for treatment appreciated the comfort of the new building and the friendliness of the medical staff, which made the service process feel faster, easier, and uncomplicated.
