CCH Holdings Ltd, the company behind the Chicken Claypot franchise chain, has made a strategic move that surprised the market by venturing into the technology sector. The company officially announced its involvement in the provision of data center infrastructure in Malaysia, with a contract value reaching RM 212 million or approximately IDR 939.3 billion.
The multi-million contract will run for three years. Through its subsidiary, CCH Holdings Ltd has entered into definitive agreements with several clients to provide technical support for digital infrastructure projects currently rapidly expanding in Southeast Asia.
In an official statement, the company explained that the services provided include system maintenance, computing capacity allocation, and operational technical consulting. This project is positioned as a step for the company to capture major opportunities from the high demand for cloud services and artificial intelligence (AI)-based computing in the region.
CCH Holdings CEO, Goh Kok E, emphasized that this expansion does not mean the company will abandon the culinary business that has been its core business. On the contrary, this step was taken as a diversification effort to create new growth engines for the company in the future.
Moving forward, management plans to continue strengthening Chicken Claypot restaurant operations as a primary revenue stream, while continuing to explore opportunities to expand technology infrastructure services in both Southeast Asian and global markets. This strategy is expected to provide long-term stability through a blend of traditional retail business and modern technology.
