Premier League giants, Chelsea FC, have officially begun a new chapter in club management by integrating the Industrial AI system from technology company IFS. This step marks a comprehensive operational transformation encompassing financial management, procurement systems, and stadium facility maintenance.
The shift in partnership focus is reflected in IFS's decision to no longer occupy the front-of-shirt sponsor slot for Chelsea next season. Nevertheless, IFS remains fully committed as a Principal Partner and Global Partner until 2028, deepening its role as a strategic partner in the development of the club's technology infrastructure.
Chelsea FC's Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Adriel Lares, welcomed the collaboration. He assessed that the implementation of artificial intelligence technology is a crucial key for the club in driving more modern business efficiencies off the pitch, in line with the club's vision under the leadership of coach Xabi Alonso.
On the other hand, IFS CEO, Mark Moffat, emphasized that the elite football ecosystem requires a very high level of accuracy and precision. According to him, IFS's technology, which has previously successfully managed $2.4 trillion worth of critical assets in the heavy industry sector, is highly relevant for meeting the operational needs of top-tier football clubs.
Through the implementation of this automation system, Chelsea aims to gain more accurate visibility regarding cash flows, legal compliance, and procurement efficiency in *real-time*. This strategic step is expected to strengthen the club's position in the increasingly competitive global football business industry.
