Brayat Minulya Hospital Surakarta is currently reflecting on its long journey of adopting medical technology. The historical journey of the hospital's operations is clearly recorded through various collections of past manual tools that are neatly stored, ranging from manual telephones, typewriters, sewing machines, medicine scales, to facsimile machines that accompanied health services from 1949 until the late 1980s.
Entering the millennium after the year 2000, the demands of the era urged the hospital to adapt rapidly. The time-consuming manual system has now transformed into a digital ecosystem to present fast, accurate, and integrated data. This change also touched financial aspects with the adoption of non-cash payment methods, ranging from EDC machines, ATMs, to QRIS-based transaction systems.
The main pillar of this digitalization is the implementation of an integrated Hospital Information System (SIRS). This system integrates the entire database, digital reporting, and real-time billing processes. Remarkably, the SIRS at Brayat Minulya Hospital is directly connected online with the Directorate General of Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as integrated with JKN and BPJS Kesehatan services.
The improvement of clinical service quality is also driven by the implementation of Electronic Medical Records (RME). This technology summarizes the patient's entire medical history digitally—ranging from diagnoses, prescriptions, laboratory results, to referrals—in a centralized database. This step not only minimizes the risk of physical file damage but also speeds up clinical decision-making by the medical team.
In addition to RME, Brayat Minulya Hospital has also developed telemedicine services to facilitate remote consultations and post-treatment patient monitoring. All of these modernization steps are carefully prepared to face the hospital accreditation process, where quality data integration, SIMRS feasibility, and patient safety are the key assessment indicators.
