The Directorate of Student Affairs, Careers, and Alumni (DKKA) of Al-Azhar University Indonesia (UAI) has begun exploring a strategic collaboration with PT Curaweda Palagan Innotech. This exploration was marked by a visit from the UAI delegation to the Indonesian Museum at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta, on Wednesday (15/7/2026), to witness firsthand the application of artificial intelligence (AI) in creative works.
The emerging collaboration focuses on utilizing AI technology to boost creativity and entrepreneurship among students. The meeting was attended directly by the Director of DKKA UAI, Andri Hadiansyah, S.Psi., M.Psi., Psychologist, and his staff, who were warmly welcomed by the CEO and Founder of PT Curaweda Palagan Innotech, Azhar Muhammad Fuad.
One of the key points in the discussion between the two parties was the opportunity to use AI in preserving and promoting national culture. DKKA UAI presented an ongoing program with the Batam City Government and the Batam Malay Customary Institution (LAM), namely the AI-based digitalization of Gurindam Dua Belas, which is also designed to strengthen the local MSME sector.
In addition to the discussion, the UAI delegation also had the opportunity to watch a short film about the Asian-African Conference (KTT) produced using generative AI technology. This educational exhibition, held on the 3rd floor of the Indonesia Museum TMII, is scheduled to run until December 2026.
The delegation also tried an interactive AI-based feature that allows visitors to take virtual photos with the Proclaimer of Indonesian Independence, Ir. Soekarno. This interactive experience is complete with the instant printing of motivational cards (affirmation words) as educational souvenirs for museum visitors.
This collaboration is expected to become a solid bridge between the academic sector and the technology industry. The integration of AI technology into UAI's non-academic curriculum is projected to produce graduates who are not only technologically literate but also able to make a tangible contribution to the preservation of the archipelago's culture.
