A cross-agency joint team led by the West Java Regional Police (Polda Jabar) conducted a surprise raid on several nightlife venues (THM) in the Jalan Pasir Kaliki area, Bandung City. This large-scale operation was initiated to restrict the movement of drug trafficking and abuse in the city's crowded centers.
The crackdown, which took place in the early hours of Sunday (2/8/2026), involved personnel from the West Java Provincial National Narcotics Agency (BNNP), Kogartap II/Bandung, Customs, and the Food and Drug Authority (BPOM). Officers moved quickly to check identities, inspect belongings, and halt entertainment activities to ensure the inspection ran smoothly.
The Director of Drug Investigation at the West Java Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Arly Jembar Jumhana, explained that the primary target of this operation was locations deemed vulnerable to the trafficking of illegal substances. Visitors showing suspicious behavior were immediately directed to undergo on-site urine testing.
According to Arly, this cross-sectoral collaboration represents a concrete commitment by law enforcement officers to maintain public order and suppress social ills in urban areas. He emphasized that similar raids will continue to be held regularly in various regions of West Java to serve as a deterrent.
