Ahead of its official launch scheduled for July 14, 2026, in China, Xiaomi has begun revealing the key specifications of its latest device, the Redmi Note 17 Pro. Through a series of teasers on the Weibo platform, the Chinese technology company gave a sneak peek of the main features aimed at the mid-range segment, with a strong focus on power.
One of the main highlights of the device is the use of the Jinshajiang battery technology with a massive capacity of 9,000 mAh. This capacity is claimed to be one of the largest in its class and has received a five-star quality certification from the TÜV SÜD testing institution. To support charging activities, the phone is also equipped with a 67-watt fast charging feature and up to 22.5-watt reverse wired charging capability.
In addition to technical specs, Xiaomi is introducing a breakthrough in after-sales service called the "Battery Upgrade Programme". This program offers special protection for first-time buyers for five years. If the device's battery health drops below 80 percent within the first four years, users are entitled to a free battery replacement.
Even more interestingly, Xiaomi promises a capacity upgrade in the fifth year. If the battery health falls below the standard during this period, the company will replace it with a larger capacity battery of 10,000 mAh. This strategic move is expected to attract consumers looking for devices with long-term durability and better investment value.
