The Gunung Kijang Sector Police (Polsek) moved quickly to distribute social assistance from the Bintan Police Chief (Kapolres) to alleviate the burden on residents affected by the strong wind disaster. This humanitarian action targeted residents in the Kampung Sei Kawal area, RT 005 RW 001, Kawal Village, Gunung Kijang District, Bintan Regency, on Saturday (25/7/2026).
The distribution of the aid was led directly by several Gunung Kijang Police personnel, namely Aiptu Rudi Harianto, Bripka Doddy Agustiawan, Brigpol Robi Irawan, and Brigpol Gezond Widodo Harianja. The basic food packages were handed over directly to the three affected heads of families, namely the families of Ana, Kancil, and Fransiskus Muhtar.
Each distributed aid package contains basic daily logistical needs, ranging from rice, cooking oil, sugar, chicken eggs, instant noodles, ground coffee, to tea bags. This aid package is expected to help ease the emergency food needs of the victims' families after being hit by severe weather.
Brigpol Robi Irawan, as the Bhabinkamtibmas (Community Policing Officer) of Kawal Village, emphasized that this social activity is a tangible manifestation of the Indonesian National Police's (Polri) presence and care amid community difficulties. In addition to easing the economic burden on the victims, this step also aims to strengthen community ties and revive the spirit of mutual cooperation (gotong royong) among local residents.
