Officers of the Jambi City Police (Polresta) are tightening supervision of nightlife venues to suppress illicit drug trafficking. Through the Drug Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba), officers launched a large-scale raid dubbed Operation Antik 2026 on Friday (24/7/2026) night.
The operation, which began near midnight around 11:00 PM WIB, was led directly by the Chief of Jambi City Police, Police Grand Commissioner (Kombes Pol) Ananto Herlambang, accompanied by Head of Operations Police Commissioner (Kompol) Yumika Putra and Head of the Drug Investigation Unit Police Commissioner Assistant (AKP) Tito Al Hafezt. Officers searched five nightlife venues scattered across Jambi City, namely Grand House on Jalan Kapten Pattimura, Karaoke Adinda and Karaoke Bunda on Jalan DI Panjaitan, Luna on Jalan Prof. DR. Moh. Yamin, and Dinasti in the Lorong Idola area.
When officers visited Grand House, Karaoke Adinda, and Karaoke Bunda, the entertainment venues were still empty and had not yet received visitors. Consequently, urine tests could not be conducted at those three locations.
The inspection then focused on the two other locations where visitors had started to arrive. At the Luna entertainment venue, officers randomly selected 14 visitors to undergo urine tests. The operation continued to Dinasti, where two other visitors were also tested using a similar method.
Representing the Chief of Jambi City Police, the Head of the Drug Investigation Unit, AKP Tito Al Hafezt, confirmed that all urine tests showed negative results for drug abuse. He emphasized that this step was a preventive effort to maintain public order and security (kamtibmas). The presence of the police during night activities is expected to restrict the distribution space of illicit substances within Jambi's jurisdiction.
