BPJS Kesehatan has recorded a significant achievement in the National Health Insurance (JKN) program, with membership coverage now reaching 98.62 percent of Indonesia's total population. This figure reflects growing public trust in the social security system while marking easier and more equitable access to healthcare services across the archipelago.
To keep pace with the surge in member numbers, BPJS Kesehatan continues to expand strategic partnerships with various healthcare facilities. To date, a total of 23,770 Primary Health Care Facilities (FKTP), 3,194 Advanced Referral Health Facilities (FKRTL), and 6,190 other supporting facilities have been officially integrated into the BPJS Kesehatan network.
In terms of financial stability, BPJS Kesehatan reported that the net assets of the Health Social Security Fund (DJS) reached IDR 30.04 trillion by the end of 2025. This amount is projected to cover claim liabilities for the next 1.88 months, in line with established operational standards.
Throughout 2025, the total cost of healthcare services distributed by BPJS Kesehatan reached IDR 191.3 trillion. Data shows that the largest burden remains dominated by the funding of catastrophic diseases, which absorbed a budget of approximately IDR 50 trillion, or equivalent to 26.42 percent of the total annual healthcare service expenditures.
