The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2026 witnessed the official launch of the Changan Nevo Q05, an electric-powered SUV that combines energy efficiency with cabin comfort. This eco-friendly vehicle is presented in two variants, Pro and Max, to meet the daily mobility needs of urban communities who want a modern, functional, and highly aesthetic vehicle.
In terms of dimensions, the Nevo Q05 offers an exceptionally spacious cabin in its class. With a vehicle length of 4,435 mm and a wheelbase of 2,735 mm, the utilization of its interior space is claimed to reach 86.6 percent. This structural design advantage results in second-row legroom of up to 320 mm, providing extra comfort and freedom for rear passengers during long journeys.
Practicality is also a significant added value for this electric SUV. The Nevo Q05 is equipped with a standard cargo capacity of 540 liters, which can be expanded to 1,380 liters by folding the second-row seats. In addition, there are 27 storage points spread throughout the cabin, including a 90-liter secret compartment equipped with a flexible divider.
Passenger comfort is further maximized through the use of soft-touch materials dominating up to 80 percent of the interior area. The car's interior is also equipped with a 1.8-square-meter panoramic glass roof, a ventilated driver's seat with electric adjustments, and a noise reduction system utilizing 67 NVH (Noise, Vibration, and Harshness) materials to keep the cabin quiet.
In the technology sector, Changan has embedded a state-of-the-art entertainment system consisting of a 14.6-inch high-resolution main touchscreen paired with a 10.17-inch digital instrument panel. The system's performance is powered by a 7-nanometer MTK8675 processor chip, ensuring that navigation response and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity run smoothly without any lag.
The Nevo Q05 is equipped with a high-capacity Golden Shield 2.0 battery from CATL, capable of traveling up to 462 kilometers on a single full charge according to the NEDC standard. Thanks to fast charging technology, the battery can be charged from 30 to 80 percent in just 15 minutes. Interestingly, this SUV also features a 3.3 kW Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) capability, functioning as a portable power generator for various outdoor electronic equipment.
Driving safety is accommodated by the ADAS Level 2 smart driver assistance system, six airbags, and a 540-degree monitoring camera with a transparent chassis feature. For the Indonesian market, the Changan Nevo Q05 is offered at a competitive price (On The Road Jakarta) of Rp309 million for the Pro type and Rp359 million for the highest type, Max.
