Personnel from the Samapta Unit of the Badung Police conducted a large-scale routine patrol, known as Enhanced Routine Activities (KRYD), along the tourism corridor from Jalan Canggu to Batu Bolong Beach in the early hours of Thursday (9/7). This preventive measure was taken to ensure that the nightlife area remains safe from potential criminal acts and public order disturbances.
Led by the Head of the Patrol Unit (Kanit Turjawali) of the Samapta Unit, Second Police Inspector (IPDA) Bagus Kobarawan, the patrol team navigated vulnerable spots to minimize the risk of crimes such as grand theft, robbery, and street thuggery within the jurisdiction of the Badung Police. The presence of patrol vehicles with blue rotating lights served as a symbol of police readiness amidst busy tourist activities.
During the patrol, officers did not merely conduct surveillance, but also built persuasive communication with local security personnel and traditional guards (pecalang). The Head of the Samapta Unit of Badung Police, Police Commissioner (AKP) Made Mangku Bunciana, emphasized that a humanistic approach is key to fostering active community participation in maintaining environmental security.
"We urge entertainment venue managers and tourists to remain vigilant. Synergy with the pecalang is very important so that any potential disturbance can be detected immediately and reported quickly to the authorities," explained Police Commissioner Made Mangku Bunciana.
The operation resulted in a monitored safe and conducive situation. No prominent incidents were reported during the activity, allowing local residents and tourists to enjoy the night atmosphere in the Canggu area peacefully and orderly.
