Commission II of the Bogor City Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) has sharply criticized the alleged misuse of public facilities by Aroem Restaurant. The culinary establishment is suspected of using the public road in front of the Bogor City PWI (Indonesian Journalists Association) office as a valet parking service area without holding an official permit.
Chairman of Commission II of the Bogor City DPRD, Achmad Rifki Alaydrus, emphasized that the unilateral use of public space for commercial business interests cannot be justified. He urged the local government to immediately verify the operational legality of the special parking service to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
Rifki requested relevant agencies and departments within the Bogor City Government to conduct direct field inspections. If administrative violations or the illegal use of public facilities are proven, enforcement actions must be taken immediately, firmly, and indiscriminately.
As a follow-up step, Commission II of the Bogor City DPRD plans to summon the competent regional authorities in the near future. This summons aims to clarify the licensing status and the oversight mechanisms applied to business activities in the area.
The politician also reminded business operators in Bogor City to always respect public rights and maintain administrative order in running their businesses. According to him, a healthy investment climate can only be achieved if all regional regulations are complied with for the collective comfort.
