The contingent of young Vietnamese DanceSport athletes achieved stellar results at the 2026 Asian DanceSport Championship, which brought together participants from over 30 countries and territories. The talented young dancers from Vietnam demonstrated absolute dominance across various competition events in both the Latin and Standard categories.
Teenage pair Minh Cuong and Linh San became the main highlight after successfully securing gold medals in several disciplines, ranging from Samba and Paso Doble to Waltz. A similar feat was achieved by the pair Vu Hoang Anh Minh and Nguyen Truong Xuan, who contributed two gold medals in the Waltz and Viennese Waltz events, strengthening Vietnam's overall medal standing in the championship.
The peak of attention was focused on the performance of talented athlete Hoang Misaki, who is often dubbed the "prodigy of Vietnamese DanceSport". The 13-year-old successfully bagged a gold medal at the Asian level while outperforming competitors in the WDSF Open Solo Female Junior II Latin category, an achievement reflecting consistent performance and mature technical mastery on a global scale.
Misaki's success is inseparable from the dedication and systematic training she has undergone since 2023 under the guidance of international coach Chu Quynh Trang. With a strong technical foundation and support from world-class coaches, Misaki is now projected to be the future of Vietnamese DanceSport, capable of competing regularly on the international competition stage.
