The Lumajang Regency Government continues its efforts to transform the bureaucracy by strengthening the capacity of civil servants (ASN) through the Semeru Corpu learning platform. This initiative is designed as a collaborative space to foster competence, professionalism, and a culture of innovation across all levels of regional governance.
Most recently, Semeru Corpu Series 6 was held at the Nararya Kirana Room, Lumajang Regent's Office, on Friday (3/7/2026). Bearing the theme "Regional Autonomy and the Urgency of Building an Innovative Region," this discussion served as an important reflection on the challenges faced by civil servants in addressing the complexity of public services in the current era of autonomy.
Regent of Lumajang, Indah Amperawati, emphasized that the quality of a region's bureaucracy cannot be separated from the quality of its human resources. According to her, civil servants who are adaptive and possess a strong passion for learning are the main key to creating governance that is responsive to public needs.
"A culture of learning and innovation must become an integral part of a civil servant's daily life. This is crucial so that public services do not stagnate, but instead continue to improve in quality over time," she expressed during the forum.
The event also featured Senior Researcher at the Political Research Center of the National Research and Innovation Agency (BRIN), Siti Zuhro, as a keynote speaker. The discussion focused on the importance of building an innovative ecosystem as a foundation for sustainable regional development.
Through continuous competency development, the Lumajang Regency Government is optimistic about producing a more professional and accountable apparatus. The hope is that this transformation can yield fast and effective services, ensuring that the government's presence is truly beneficial to all people of Lumajang.
