The Russian international business-to-business (B2B) exhibition organizer, ITE Group, has officially designated Indonesia as a priority country in their global trade network expansion. This step was taken following a positive growth trend in bilateral trade and the high competitiveness of Indonesian manufacturing products in the international market.
During the MosBuild Forum Jakarta 2026 event held at ICE BSD, ITE Group CEO Dmitry Zavgorodniy reaffirmed his commitment to facilitating Indonesian business players to reach the Russian and CIS markets more broadly. Data shows that the value of Indonesian exports to Russia throughout 2025 surged significantly by 42.7 percent, reaching USD 1.88 billion.
Zavgorodniy highlighted the furniture sector as a golden opportunity that has not yet been optimally tapped. Although exports of wood products experienced a sharp increase of up to 156 percent, the contribution of Indonesian furniture to the Russian market remains minimal, accounting for only 0.17 percent of the country's total import needs. This gap is considered a major opportunity for local furniture manufacturers, especially after the reduction in supply from other competitor countries.
ITE Group International Sales Director, Darryl Pawsey, added that MosBuild is not just an exhibition, but a strategic entry point for Indonesian companies to interact directly with wholesalers, architects, and major property developers in Russia. In addition to physical access, participants are also equipped with the 'ITE Connect' digital platform, which allows business interaction to take place before the exhibition begins.
