Perhutani Forest Management Unit (KPH) Probolinggo officially dispatched 21 Saka Wanabakti Scout members from the Probolinggo Branch Quarter to conduct a nature exploration expedition on Mount Buthak. The event, held from July 10 to 12, 2026, focused on a hiking mission and a clean-up action along the trail as a concrete demonstration of care for the forest ecosystem.
The contingent was officially sent off by the Deputy Administrator of SKPH Lumajang and Leader of Saka Wanabakti Kwarcab Probolinggo, Soegiharto Aries Soebagiyo. He emphasized that the initiative titled "Njelajah Alam Bareng Wanabakti 2026" (Exploring Nature with Wanabakti 2026) is a tangible implementation of Krida Reksa Wana, aimed at shaping the character of the younger generation to instill a deep love for forest preservation while honing practical forestry skills.
In his directive, Soegiharto stressed the vital role of youth as the forefront of conservation cadres. In addition to fostering environmental awareness, participants were strictly instructed to prioritize safety and physical health while navigating the challenging climbing terrain in Pesanggrahan Village, Batu City.
Echoing these sentiments, Saka Wanabakti Scout Leader Mohamad Salim expressed deep appreciation for the consistent support from Perhutani KPH Probolinggo. According to him, the support provided is vital in ensuring the success of this annual work program while motivating Scout members to continue contributing positively to environmental preservation in the region.
This activity is expected to be more than just a regular hike, serving instead as a momentum for Saka Wanabakti members to manifest themselves as pioneers of nature conservation. Through mountain clean-up actions and field education, Perhutani remains optimistic that the younger generation will become more sensitive and responsible regarding the sustainability of forest functions for the future.
