Kudus Regency is now strengthening its position as a sports tourism destination in Indonesia. This aligns with the successful hosting of the Hydroplus Soccer League (HSL) All-Stars 2025/2026, which is considered to have a significant impact on the local economy as well as the development of young athletic talent.
Program Director of Bakti Olahraga Djarum Foundation, Yoppy Rosimin, stated that the success of various sporting events, including women's football competitions, has exceeded expectations. In addition to improving achievement, the presence of these tournaments directly drives the local economy through hospitality, culinary, transportation services, and empowering MSMEs around the match venue, Supersoccer Arena.
Yoppy added that the foundation of the women's football ecosystem built by the Djarum Foundation is becoming increasingly solid. Integrated development programs, ranging from the MilkLife Soccer Challenge to the international tournament Srikandi Merdeka Cup 2026, serve as proof of the foundation's ongoing commitment to fostering superior football talents in the country.
Moving forward, Djarum Foundation aims to expand the competition's reach to 15 cities across major islands in Indonesia, including Kalimantan, Sulawesi, Sumatra, and Papua. This expansive step is expected to not only produce high-achieving athletes at the national level but also reinforce Kudus's image as a new barometer for hosting international-standard sports events.
