PEKANBARU – Member of Commission VII of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Indonesia (DPR RI), Hendry Munief, organized digital marketing training for the management and members of the Indonesian Islamic Women's Consultative Body (BMIWI) of Riau Province. The event, which took place on Saturday (25/7/2026) in Pekanbaru, was attended by representatives from 17 social organizations under the auspices of BMIWI Riau, as a strategic step to boost the local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) sector.
In his presentation, the legislator emphasized that the success of a business heavily depends on how strong the mindset or mental foundation of the business actors themselves is. Hendry reminded MSME actors not to focus solely on obtaining instant profits without being backed by careful planning, which is the pillar of business sustainability.
According to Hendry, many business units fail due to a weak entrepreneurial mindset. The phenomenon of a bubble business must be avoided so that business actors do not fall into the trap of false growth that is vulnerable to collapsing at any time. Strengthening the business mindset is considered the main shield so that business actors can bounce back when facing failure.
Once the entrepreneurial mindset is firmly established, the next step is to upgrade practical skills, particularly in digital marketing. In the modern era, mastery of information technology and the ability to build partnership networks are absolute keys to winning in increasingly tight market competition.
It is hoped that this collaboration will not end as a mere ceremonial activity, but will continue through broader coaching and mentoring programs. Through consistent mentoring, MSMEs in Riau Province are expected to be able to scale up and make a tangible contribution to community-based economic growth.
