Chairman of Commission II of the Bogor City DPRD, Achmad Rifki Alaydrus, reacted strongly to the alleged usurpation of land located right in front of the Indonesian Journalists Association (PWI) office in Bogor City. According to him, the utilization of public space for business activities must refer to the applicable regulations and legal basis.
Rifki emphasized that no business operator should seek economic benefit from public facilities without official permits from the local government. He urged the relevant agencies to immediately inspect the site and carry out objective enforcement if they are proven to have violated the rules.
To thoroughly investigate this controversy, Commission II of the Bogor City DPRD plans to summon the relevant regional agencies in the near future to clarify the legality of Aroem Restaurant's valet operations.
