The growing trend of padel sports in the country has now begun to enter the shopping center business sector. Responding to this opportunity, Metropolis Town Square officially launched Metropolis Padel Court, a premium indoor padel sports facility located on the 3rd Floor of the mall in Tangerang City.

Inaugurated on Saturday (1/8/2026), the presence of this new facility marks a strategic step by the mall management in transforming their business concept. The mall, which originally focused on being a shopping center, is now transitioning into an integrated destination combining recreation, lifestyle, and sports activities.

Standing on an area of more than 2,000 square meters, this arena provides four international-standard indoor padel courts. This sports facility is designed to be user-friendly for various groups, ranging from beginners trying out the sport, local communities, families, to professional and corporate players.

Metropolis Padel Court operations are open daily from 06:00 to 24:00 WIB, with an court booking system integrated through the AYO application. Court rental rates vary, starting at IDR 150,000 per hour for weekdays (Monday-Friday) from 06:00 to 16:00 WIB, and IDR 250,000 per hour for evening sessions (16:00-24:00 WIB). Meanwhile, weekend and national holiday rates are flat-rated at IDR 250,000 per hour throughout the day.

To enliven this grand launch, the management is offering the MERDEKA Promo during August 2026. Every customer who makes a reservation for at least two hours is entitled to one free tube of Lunaro Play (Green) brand padel balls. This promo continues the soft opening trial period that took place in late July with an introductory rate of IDR 100,000 per hour.

Metropolis Town Square Mall Director, Ferdinand Narayana, explained that the presence of this sports arena is part of the company's commitment to presenting a more dynamic and interactive public space. He assesses that the growth of padel sport enthusiasts in Indonesia is exponential, making the provision of this premium facility a very relevant step for current market needs.

Looking ahead, this sports area will not only feature playing courts but will also be equipped with other supporting facilities such as a café & lounge, a children's playground, and arcade game zones. The development of this supporting infrastructure is expected to strengthen the social ecosystem while boosting visitor numbers to Metropolis Town Square.
