BPJS Kesehatan has reaffirmed its dedication to maintaining the sustainability of the National Health Insurance (JKN) Program through transparent and accountable financial management practices. This commitment was openly presented during the recently held Public Expose of the 2025 Program and Financial Management Report as a form of public accountability.
President Director of BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito, revealed that the stability of the Health Social Security Fund (DJS) is the main pillar of the program's sustainability. As of December 31, 2025, the net assets of the Health DJS were recorded at IDR 30.04 trillion. This figure provides financial resilience capable of covering estimated operational claims for up to 1.88 months ahead, in accordance with applicable regulatory standards.
In addition to asset resilience, BPJS Kesehatan recorded investment yields of IDR 3.94 trillion managed under prudent principles. The integrity of this management is also proven by achieving an Unmodified Opinion (WTM) for the 12th consecutive time, further strengthening the organization's position in clean and efficient governance.
Amid the rising cost of healthcare services, which reached IDR 191.3 trillion in 2025, BPJS Kesehatan has begun shifting its strategy towards preventive and promotive aspects. This step was taken considering the large proportion of costs for catastrophic diseases, reaching 26.42 percent of total expenditure, which is expected to be reduced through early detection and healthy lifestyle education for participants.
Chairman of the BPJS Kesehatan Supervisory Board, Stevanus Adrianto Passat, emphasized that the institution's role as a public fund manager demands high standards of integrity. He hopes that cross-sector synergy will continue to be strengthened to face future challenges, ranging from optimizing contribution collection to ensuring the equal quality of healthcare services for all Indonesian people.
