For outdoor enthusiasts seeking an alternative hike in Central Java, Gilimantren Peak on Mount Giyanti, Magelang Regency, is becoming an increasingly popular choice. In addition to the already well-known Merah Putih Peak, this summit offers unique characteristics for hikers craving exotic views.
Located on the northern side of Mount Giyanti, this 1,153-meter above sea level (masl) elevation point offers a majestic panorama to the northwest, where Mount Sumbing stands tall at 3,371 masl. Primary access to this peak is via Basecamp Anjraha, located in Plalar, Genito Village, Windusari District.
The hiking experience on this trail is remarkably short and efficient, covering a distance of just about 2.09 kilometers.
