The Governor of DKI Jakarta, Pramono Anung, officially opened the Jakarta Creative Festival (JKF) 2026 event at Istora Senayan, Jakarta, on Saturday (4/7/2026). Carrying the theme "A Creative Movement for a Sustainable Global City", this event serves as an important momentum in the series of celebrations for Jakarta's 499th anniversary to strengthen the capital city's position on the international stage.
In his speech, Pramono highlighted the impressive performance of Jakarta's economy, which grew by 5.59 percent in the first quarter of 2026. With a contribution of 16.67 percent to the national economy and dominating 38 percent of national QRIS transactions, Jakarta is considered to have strong capital to transform into one of the world's top 50 global cities by 2030.
Pramono emphasized that his administration continues to strengthen the economic ecosystem through the JakPreneur program, targeting more than 422,000 MSME actors in Jakarta. The program is designed to provide comprehensive mentoring, ranging from increasing production capacity and access to capital to market digitalization, ensuring inclusive economic growth felt by all segments of society.
Head of Bank Indonesia Representative Office for DKI Jakarta Province, Iwan Setiawan, explained that this year's festival is a tangible form of massive collaboration among 67 institutions. A transaction target of IDR 40 billion is expected to be achieved through various agendas, including *business matching* activities and broader digital payment system education for business actors.
Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, Filianingsih Hendarta, expressed appreciation for the built synergy. According to her, the integration between payment digitalization and MSME empowerment is the main key to increasing real sector productivity in Jakarta, while simultaneously solidifying the regional economic foundation in facing future global economic challenges.
