The implementation of modern technology and digitalization is now the key to success for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to scale up. One success story is shown by Suhita Lebah Indonesia, a pure honey producer from Bandar Lampung that has successfully expanded its operational scale through eco-friendly post-harvest innovations and the integration of digital payment systems.

In running its business, Suhita Lebah Indonesia integrates the honey supply from independent farms, business partners, to local beekeepers. The business owner, Isnina, explained that the nutritional quality of the honey is optimally maintained thanks to a moisture reduction method without using high temperatures. This post-harvest technology not only keeps product quality in accordance with SNI (Indonesian National Standard) but also makes the production process more efficient and environmentally friendly.

The expansion of this honey business was further accelerated after Isnina decided to join as an MSME assisted by Rumah BUMN BRI Bakauheni in 2021. Through this training platform, she received various comprehensive business management training as well as the opportunity to participate in prestigious incubation programs such as BRIncubator, BRILiaNpreneur, and national-scale trade exhibitions.

To strengthen its financial foundation, Suhita Lebah Indonesia utilizes financing facilities from BRI. In addition, the modernization of the transaction system is also implemented in the sales line by providing non-cash payment options through BRI QRIS to offer fast, practical, and secure transaction convenience for customers.

BRI Corporate Secretary, Dhanny, appreciated the perseverance of Suhita Lebah Indonesia in adapting to the digital era. He emphasized BRI's commitment through Rumah BUMN to continue mentoring local MSME players so they can grow strong, penetrate wider markets, and bring positive economic impact to the surrounding community.
