In commemoration of the 101st Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics officially held the "Theory and Innovation" Journalism Award for the first time in 2026. This prestigious event is an important momentum for the institution to celebrate the intellectual contributions of researchers, lecturers, and staff who have dedicated themselves to the development of political theory through quality journalistic work.
Associate Professor Dr. Le Hai Binh, Standing Vice President and Chairman of the Academy's Journalists Association, emphasized that this award aims to motivate innovation amidst rapid digital transformation and the development of artificial intelligence. According to him, academic media must continue to adapt without abandoning the core principles of the party's ideology, as well as be able to provide strong scientific arguments in responding to the challenges of national development in the modern era.
For this inaugural edition, the jury selected 158 submissions down to the 40 best works, divided into various categories, ranging from special awards to potential categories for young writers under the age of 40. These works cover in-depth theoretical research, practical summaries, and leadership development, which are the main pillars of research at the Academy.
Looking ahead, the Academy is committed to modernizing the publication system in line with international scientific journal standards. Through strengthening rigorous peer review processes and integrating communication technology, management hopes that the Academy's media ecosystem will not only be an information outlet, but also a credible national scientific forum to support strategic state decision-making.
The event was also attended by party officials, representatives of central ministries, and academics who continue to promote cross-unit collaboration. This strategic step is expected to create more effective communication synergy, while reinforcing the role of the press as the vanguard in protecting the ideological foundation and advancing scientific civilization in Vietnam.
