In the mining industry sector, the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group has proposed the implementation of a smart longwall mining system. By leveraging artificial intelligence (AI), sensors, and remote monitoring systems, the company hopes to significantly reduce occupational risks while boosting underground production efficiency.
Meanwhile, the agricultural sector at the commune level is also turning to digitalization to increase the competitiveness of local products. A concrete example is seen in Duong Hoa Commune, where farmers require high-standard tea processing technology and smart cultivation management systems to replace less competitive traditional methods. A similar approach is applied to the livestock sector, adopting AI technology for feed monitoring and environmental sanitation.
Not limited to economic productivity, technological needs also extend to disaster mitigation and public services. The province prioritizes early storm warning systems for coastal areas, real-time flood risk mapping, and the implementation of telemedicine at commune-level health posts. At the government level, document digitization, the use of GIS systems for spatial planning, and the development of intelligent operation centers (IOC) are key focuses to accelerate data-driven decision-making.
To realize this plan, Quang Ninh is committed to bridging regional needs with the National Science and Technology Exchange. These efforts are reinforced by international diplomacy, such as high-tech investment cooperation with German partners. However, the provincial government emphasizes that the success of this innovation depends on in-depth field surveys, investment feasibility, and operational capacity readiness, ensuring that every adopted technology solution delivers a practical impact for the community.
