BPJS Kesehatan continues to strengthen its digital service system to facilitate access to treatment for the public. Through the Mobile JKN application, participants of the National Health Insurance (JKN) can now manage referral administration and monitor the availability of medical facilities in real-time, minimizing obstacles often faced by patients from remote areas.

This benefit was felt directly by Rudianto Atmodjo Waremra (51), a resident of Tual City who had to be referred to Siloam Hospital Ambon. Given the considerable geographical distance, Rudianto was initially anxious about service certainty, the availability of inpatient rooms, and the schedule of the specialist doctor who would treat him.

However, that anxiety vanished after he utilized the features of the Mobile JKN application before departure. The application allowed him to independently monitor all important information, from the status of the referral letter to the availability of beds at the destination hospital, making the preparation process calmer and more planned.

Rudianto, who underwent intensive care due to vertigo and a history of heart disease, expressed his satisfaction with the medical services he received. He emphasized that there was no difference in treatment between JKN patients and general patients, and appreciated the full coverage of treatment costs by BPJS Kesehatan.

The digitalization commitment carried by BPJS Kesehatan is expected to bridge the gap in access to health services, especially for inter-island referral patients in Maluku, so they can receive medical treatment quickly, transparently, and without financial barriers.
