BPJS Kesehatan Main Branch Office (KCU) Manado urges participants of the National Health Insurance (JKN) program from the Non-Wage Earner (PBPU) segment or independent participants to immediately settle their contribution arrears. This step is taken to ensure that public health protection remains maintained and membership status stays active.
Based on data as of July 1, 2026, a total of 53,442 participants in the KCU Manado working area accumulated arrears amounting to more than IDR 62.4 billion. The Head of BPJS Kesehatan KCU Manado, Nyoman Wiwiek Yuliadewi, stated that economic constraints are often the main factor causing people to delay or fall behind on their contribution payments.
Recognizing the financial burden faced by participants, BPJS Kesehatan introduces the Rehab 3.0 program. This innovation allows participants to pay off their contribution arrears in installments, making the financial obligation lighter compared to paying it off all at once. This program is expected to be a concrete solution for people who want to reactivate their membership status.
Wiwiek emphasized the importance of the mutual cooperation (gotong royong) principle in the implementation of JKN. The contributions paid regularly by participants are crucial in supporting the sustainability of the national healthcare financing system. Participants with inactive status due to arrears cannot access JKN services, so they are asked to immediately take advantage of the provided relief.
As a preventive measure, BPJS Kesehatan advises participants to regularly monitor their membership status and payment history through the Mobile JKN application or by contacting the service center at 165. By knowing their administrative status early, participants can immediately take steps to resolve it through the Rehab program before an urgent need for medical services arises.
