Bank Syariah Indonesia (BSI) has officially completed a series of Information Technology (IT) system transformations that serve as a strategic pillar in accelerating the company's business. This large-scale project, conducted over the past year, is a crucial step to align BSI's service quality with the standards of major banks in Indonesia while strengthening the company's position in the national financial landscape.
President Director of BSI, Anggoro Eko Cahyo, emphasized that this transformation is a response to rapid digitalization and high customer expectations. Through system updates carried out under the strict supervision of Danantara, BSI now possesses a more robust infrastructure to pursue its vision of becoming one of the top five largest Islamic banks in the world and achieving the target of 40 million customers by 2030.
One of the most significant technical achievements in this transformation was the successful migration of core banking from the R10 system to R24 in mid-May 2026. This massive project involving 1,500 experts has been proven to increase operational efficiency by up to 80 percent. Currently, BSI's digital system has achieved an uptime level of 99.99 percent, providing greater room for product innovation across both the BYOND and BEWIZE platforms.
Alongside technological advancements, BSI also recorded solid financial performance growth. As of May 2026, the company's net profit grew 16.73 percent year-on-year (YoY) to reach IDR 3.39 trillion. With total assets reaching IDR 444 trillion and a customer base now exceeding 24 million people, BSI is increasingly optimistic about becoming a driving force for a more inclusive and competitive Islamic economy in the future.
