PT Bank BTPN Syariah Tbk (BTPS) won the prestigious award as the leading bank in the Islamic banking category at the 2026 Bisnis Indonesia Awards (BIA). This success was achieved following a rigorous selection process involving quantitative and qualitative assessments of the company's performance from 2023 to 2025.
The panel of judges, comprising prominent economics experts and academics such as Raden Pardede, Eduardus Tandelilin, and Lana Soelistianingsih, assessed that BTPS demonstrated significant financial performance resilience. This achievement also places the company at the forefront compared to other Islamic bank issuers competing in the 24th edition of this annual event.
Throughout 2025, BTPS recorded a net profit of IDR 1.2 trillion, reflecting an annual growth of 13 percent. In terms of health ratios, the bank maintained a stable performance with a Return on Assets (RoA) of 7.2 percent and a very strong Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) reaching 57.7 percent. This positive trend continued into the first quarter of 2026, with total assets reaching IDR 23.2 trillion.
The 2026 BIA event itself honored 52 issuers from both the financial and non-financial sectors judged to have made positive contributions to the industry in Indonesia. The award was accepted directly by representatives of Bank BTPN Syariah's management from the top executives of Bisnis Indonesia Group, standing as clear proof of the bank's consistency in maintaining financing quality amidst market dynamics.
